DXC appoints Rob Le Busque as new leader for Asia Pacific & Japan

Global technology consultancy DXC has recruited former Verizon Business regional vice president Rob Le Busque as its new leader for Asia Pacific & Japan.

Currently based out of Sydney, Le Busque has spent more than two decades in various senior leadership roles at Verizon between Australia and Singapore, including as Verizon Business A/NZ & India regional managing director since 2016.

His appointment to replace long-term local and regional leader Seelan Nayagam as head of DXC’s business in the Asia Pacific & Japan follows the firm’s recent rejig of its consulting and engineering line, with its new integrated practice dubbed AdvisoryX.

Having completed a music technology degree at the Queensland University of Technology, Le Busque then joined Verizon in Singapore in 2003 following an earlier three-year stint in London. He has been with Verizon since, initially as Asia Pacific head of collaborations for the US-headquartered telecommunications giant’s enterprise services and solutions division.

From there, Le Busque has served in a number of senior roles at Verizon Business back in Sydney, including as Asia Pacific vice president for strategy & development, managing director for sales operations across APAC, EMEA and LATAM, and then as regional managing for A/NZ & India, before taking on his most recent role as Asia Pacific regional vice president in 2020.

Since then, Le Busque is credited with driving sustained growth for Verizon Business across consulting, managed services, and cybersecurity while building trusted relationships with many of the Asia Pacific region’s largest public and private sector organisations, leveraging his deep expertise in delivering large-scale digital and cybersecurity initiatives.

Regional growth strategy

Now, as per the firm, he will be tasked with shaping DXC’s regional growth strategy along with strengthening executive client relations and driving go-to-market execution and sales excellence, with the goal of aligning teams around priority industries and strategic accounts while leading complex, multi-year engagements that expand new and existing client partnerships.

“Rob brings a powerful combination of regional expertise, commercial leadership, and deep commitment to customers,” said DXC chief revenue officer T.R. Newcomb. “He has consistently delivered growth and results at scale, and his understanding of the APJ market and his ability to connect strategy, sales, and execution make him the right leader to accelerate our momentum.”

La Busque takes over from Seelan Nayagam, who moves on from the company after more than a decade as first A/NZ and then APAC general manager at DXC and predecessor CSC, before in 2021 being elevated to Asia Pacific president and having the Middle East and Africa added to his remit two years later. Nayagam, who is also based in Sydney, is yet to announce his next move.

As an aside, La Busque’s leadership style and philosophy was previously noted as being deeply influenced by his academic background in classical music and composition, with his training in discipline, preparation, and high-stakes performance enabling him to lead with precision and calm under pressure and fostering a mindset rooted in readiness, adaptability, and excellence.
