dss+ appoints health & safety leader Rod Gutierrez in Australian team
Global operations consultancy dss+ has appointed Rod Gutierrez as a Senior Director, boosting the firm’s offerings in workplace safety in high-risk environments.
Rod Gutierrez brings a wealth of medical, psychological and organisational expertise to dss+. He specialises in helping clients build safer and more productive outcomes by strengthening the human performance element of their operational systems.
A dual AHPRA registered medical doctor and psychologist, Gutierrez previously held senior roles across Rio Tinto, BHP, Adecco Group and DuPont (the former parent of dss+). He has led teams and projects in areas such as culture transformation, human performance, safety & health, and psychosocial risk in Australia and numerous other countries.
Gutierrez is the author of several books on psychosocial risk management, leadership and production systems, and has over the years collaborated with several Australian universities.

In his role, Gutierrez will strengthen the firm’s health & safety capability, and ensure that behavioural science is more deeply embedded into the operational transformation services of the consulting firm.
