EY appoints Ian Laslett as new Oceania Leader for EY Studio+
EY has appointed Canberra-based partner Ian Laslett as the new Oceania Leader of EY Studio+, its global customer-centric transformation practice.
EY Studio+ was launched globally in 2025 as a unified business unit, bringing together EY’s capabilities in design, customer experience, data, marketing and technology. The practice works closely with Chief Marketing Officers and senior business leaders on areas including growth, customer experience, customer-centric transformation, and digital innovation.
In Oceania, EY Studio+ was until recently led by Stu French. Following his relocation to Germany, the firm initiated a search for his successor, leading to the appointment of Laslett, who has been with EY in Australia since 2018.
Based in Canberra, Laslett brings extensive digital leadership experience across Australia and the UK, spanning customer-centric transformation and large-scale digital programmes. He has previously held senior roles including Managing Director at Reading Room and Adelphi Digital, which was acquired by EY eight years ago. He subsequently led the integration of Adelphi Digital’s Australian operations into EY.
Most recently, he led the Customer Technology practice within EY Studio+, delivering digitally enabled programmes in collaboration with EY’s technology alliance partners. His client work has primarily focused on the public sector.
Commenting on his appointment, Laslett said: “I am honoured to take on the role of EY Studio+ Leader for Oceania at a time when customer-centric transformation is more important than ever.
“I am passionate about transforming experiences for our clients’ customers and citizens, and believe that design, user experience and technology must work hand in hand to deliver solutions that make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. This includes creating seamless online experiences and AI-enabled digital services used by millions of people each year.
“I would also like to thank Stu for his leadership and the pivotal role he played in establishing EY Studio+ in Oceania. I wish him and his family every success as they relocate overseas.”
