RSM adds six new partners in Australia via promotions and recruits

Accounting and consulting firm RSM has added six new partners across Australia, alongside more than a dozen director promotions, with a mix of internal mid-year admissions and recent recruits.

Pushpinder Singh and Amir Lefkovic have joined RSM as partners in Sydney and Melbourne from health insurer nib and Deloitte, while Shelby Earl, Adam Cormack, Marie Van Blommestein, and Rhys Edwards have been promoted in Ballarat, Canberra, Katanning, and Perth.

“We are so proud to see our team members progress into these senior leadership roles and it’s a true testament to RSM’s career pathway programs which identify and nurture emerging leaders,” said RSM chief executive partner Robert Miano, now one year into the top job.

Pushpinder Singh
Singh joins as a leader of RSM’s financial services risk advisory practice. Prior to nib, Singh served as Asia Pacific chief audit executive at Liberty Specialty Markets, before which he spent close to a decade at KPMG. He spent a similar length of time at Ernst & Young to start his career, along with with stints at Deloitte, and Grant Thornton, Merrill Lynch, and Goldman Sachs in the UK.

Amir Lefkovic
Lefkovic crosses to RSM in Melbourne as a corporate finance partner after more than seven years as an M&A advisory director at Deloitte. He, meanwhile, spent a similar length of PwC to kick off his own career from 2004, with three years later spent in operational transaction services at Ernst & Young and time at Hawksburn Capital & Advisory and Origin Energy in between.

Shelby Earl
Promoted internally, Earl has been a member of RSM’s regional audit & assurance practice in Ballarat for the past decade, with earlier experience gained at the local office of Crowe Horwath (later Findex) following a commerce degree in accounting & quantitative business analysis at Deakin. Growing up in the region, she becomes RSM’s sixth partner based out of Ballarat.

Adam Cormack
Cormack becomes a partner in RSM’s restructuring & insolvency division in Canberra, having joined the firm as an Australian National University commerce graduate in 2012. A registered liquidator, he supports both businesses and private individuals with their financial challenges in a range of areas, including insolvency, restructuring, recovery, and valuations.

Marie Van Blommestein
Originally from South Africa, Van Blommestein later completed a commerce degree with Curtin and joined RSM, where she has spent more than a decade and a half and now becomes a business advisory partner in Katanning, roughly a three-hour drive from Perth. A farmer herself, Van Blommestein specialises in accounting, tax and compliance for agricultural clients.

Rhys Edwards
Edwards becomes a business advisory partner back in RSM’s Perth office, which he joined as a University of Western Australia accounting undergraduate in 2014 and now works with middle market family-owned businesses and high net worth individuals in areas such as strategic business advisory and structuring, tax planning, wealth transfer, and succession.
