Rondy Cheng, Anthony Hodgkinson and Adam Christou become partner at SW

SW Accountants & Advisors has made three additions to its assurance partnership, including Rondy Cheng after a decade at the firm and new recruits Anthony Hodgkinson and Adam Christou.

Hodgkinson and Christou both join SW Accountants & Advisors in Melbourne from Protiviti after more than a decade each, also bringing further experience from KordaMentha, EY, and Deloitte, while Cheng joined the firm in Sydney in 2016 from PwC.

“These appointments are an important step in building out the breadth and depth of our assurance & advisory offering,” said SW chief executive Duane Rogers. “Together they enhance how we can support clients across audit, internal audit, and financial crime.

Anthony Hodgkinson
Hodgkinson’s recruitment as a forensic & financial crime partner establishes a new capability for SW, bringing three decades worth of expertise, including most recently as Protiviti’s Asia Pacific forensics leader. Prior to his decade at firm, Hodgkinson was an executive director at KordaMentha and spent four years at Ernst & Young following an earlier public sector and policing career.

Adam Christou
Joining as a partner in Melbourne after a decade and a half at Protiviti, where he led the consultancy’s global mining practice following an earlier decade at Deloitte, Christou will now lead and support the development of SW’s internal audit & risk advisory offering, bringing extensive experience working with the energy, infrastructure, financial services, and government sectors.

Rondy Cheng
Cheng joined SW’s audit & assurance division in Sydney in 2016 after two and a half years at PwC and earlier experience gained in Hong Kong’s banking sector. Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese, Cheng is a key member of the firm’s China desk, supporting cross-border clients including those in the energy & resources, real estate, retail, and manufacturing sectors among others.

Assurance & Advisory

“Our clients are facing increasingly complex regulatory and compliance environments, from AML/CTF reform through to heightened expectations around governance and internal controls,” said Hayley Underwood, SW’s head of assurance & advisory. “These appointments give us the specialist capability to support them across the full spectrum of assurance and advisory services.”
