Grant Thornton adds two new partners: Margot Le Bars and Kate Monckton

Grant Thornton has announced the appointment of two new partners. Margot Le Bars and Kate Monckton both join the firm’s consulting partnership.

Margot Le Bars joined the accounting and consulting firm with over 30 years of experience in corporate reporting, audit quality and risk, advising on IFRS and capital market transactions. She has gained expertise across a variety of industries and markets.

A member of the CFO Advisory practice, Le Bars will work nationally to assist clients with navigating complex financial matters and transactions, providing support to sustain and grow their businesses. She is based in the Melbourne office.

Kate Monckton meanwhile is a partner in the Risk Consulting practice. She brings a career in cyber and privacy spanning over 20 years in global technology companies, consulting firms and industry. She is based in the Sydney office, leading the cyber resilience offering.

The appointments follow the recent internal promotions of 11 new partners and principals from 1 July 2026.
