EY appoints six new partners in consulting and strategy wing EY-Parthenon
Professional services firm EY has made 25 mid-year partner promotions across its Oceania region, including six within its consulting division and strategy wing EY-Parthenon.
Among those elevated, Julia Pochini has been promoted to technology partner in Sydney alongside office colleague and data & AI specialist Yoon Chung, while Melbourne-based business consulting professional Fill Oppedisano has also been bumped up to partner in Melbourne.
EY-Parthenon, expanded last year to include the firm’s strategy & transactions branch, has likewise added three new partners; economic advisory and sales & purchase agreement leaders Patrick Huynh and James Laing in Melbourne, along with Sydney restructuring expert Martie Tziotis.

Julia Pochini has been with EY for the past twelve years, originally joining the firm in Boston in 2012 before transferring to Sydney two years on. She specialises in cyber strategy and risk management, including as to threat modelling, projects, and supply chains.
Yoon Chung joined EY in Sydney in 2016 upon ARQ Group’s purchase of data & analytics consultancy Infoready (later to be swallowed by NCS), where he had spent more than five years after a similar-length stint at Accenture and time at CommSec and Optus.
Fill Oppedisano is likewise an Accenture alum, working in its finance & enterprise performance team for seven years before joining EY in 2014. Among other areas, he advises clients on services strategies, operating model design, M&A integration, and change management.
Patrick Huynh has been with EY in Melbourne for over a decade and leads the firm’s economics advisory practice within its strategy & transactions division, now a part of EY-Parthenon. Prior to joining in 2014, Huynh spent time at NAB and the ACT Education Directorate in Canberra.
James Laing meanwhile leads the strategy & transactions’ sales & purchase agreement line out of Melbourne, having joined EY in mid-2024 after more than years between Deloitte and KPMG in deals advisory and audit the UK, that stint preceded by four years with the latter downunder.
Martie Tziotis joined EY’s turnaround & restructuring team in Sydney in 2022 from KPMG, having arrived at the latter via its purchase of specialist Ferrier Hodgson, where she had spent over a decade since joining as a junior accountant and learning the ins and outs of insolvency.

EY-Parthenon has also added several more local partners during its past financial year, including Subhodeep Ghosh, Steven Kavallaris, and Nick Kotwal as Oceania transformation lead – all of whom were poached from Strategy& and follow a stream of former colleagues through the door.
