EXL appoints Sharon White to lead APAC data management offerings

EXL, a global data and AI company, has appointed Sharon White as vice president of data management for the APAC region.

Based in Sydney, White will lead growth initiatives for EXL’s data management offerings across Asia-Pacific, working in close partnership with the company’s leadership team and global delivery operations.

She will take ownership of client delivery, drive data modernisation initiatives, and identify opportunities to deploy EXL’s proprietary data-driven solutions at clients. Her mandate spans some of the most data-intensive industries in the region, including insurance, banking, healthcare, retail, travel, and utilities.

White brings more than 30 years of experience spanning data and AI, enterprise information management, advanced analytics, business intelligence, and supply chain management. She has held senior leadership roles across consulting firms, software vendors, systems integrators and enterprise organisations, working with clients across insurance, banking, utilities, telecom, retail, travel, hi-tech, e-commerce, and government sectors.

She joins EXL from HCLTech, where she led the business for next generation data, analytics and AI across Australia and New Zealand. Prior to that, she spent nearly three years as a director at Deloitte, and has also held senior roles at KPMG and GainInsights Solutions. Across these positions, she was responsible for delivering large-scale data transformation programmes with multi-million dollar budgets, and managing vendor alliances and partnerships.
