RSM appoints partners in advisory and corporate finance

National mid-tier accounting and consulting firm RSM has appointed three new partners in Australia.

Peter Revelas and Stephen Stavrou have been admitted into the partnership of the Advisory wing. Revelas has been promoted internally, having been with the firm since 2011. He specialises in topics including financial advice such as wealth and succession, implementing processes and systems, achieving operational efficiency and cost effectiveness, working clients including family groups, private businesses, small businesses and corporate clients.

Stavrou meanwhile served as an independent consultant over the past two years, leveraging his more than 25 years of experience gained at Deloitte, latterly as a partner. He among others led Deloitte's Assurance & Advisory practice in Queensland from early 2012 to late 2014, and then the Advisory sub-group until May 2018. His focus is on helping the finance function professionalise among others process improvement, governance, project management, reporting and accounting.

Moving up the ranks internally, Justin Audcent has been promoted to partner in RSM’s Corporate Finance arm. He joined RSM in 2017 from Crowe Horwath, where he was a partner and led its Transaction Support business in Western Australia. Earlier in his career, he served EY across two spells and HLB Mann Judd. Audcent boasts a track record of more than 200 mergers & acquisitions, private equity and capital markets transactions, and international and cross-border deals.

Revelas is based in RSM’s Sydney office, Stavrou in Brisbane, while Audcent operates out of the Perth office.

“Peter, Justin and Stephen each bring unique and extensive skills to the team and will play a key role in building out the capabilities of RSM’s teams in Sydney, Perth and Brisbane,” said RSM national chair Jamie O’Rourke. “Their partnership appointments are in response to our growth and in preparation for further expansion.”

Earlier this year, RSM promoted David Mutton and Mitchell Herrett to partner.
