Leigh Henderson joins LoopUp as Director Consulting for Australia

Leigh Henderson has been named Director of Consulting for Australia at LoopUp, a UK-headquartered international communications software-as-a-service provider. 

In the role, Leigh Henderson will oversee the advisory and implementation consulting wing of LoopUp, which helps clients with adopting cloud communications in the workplace. He is based in Sydney, where LoopUp has an existing office and commercial team. 

Founded in 2003, LoopUp specialises in implementing networks for voice, workplace communication in the cloud and niche services such as contact center and recording, as well as managed services for these solutions. The firm specialises in Microsoft-based solutions – a certified Microsoft Gold Partner, LoopUp’s offerings focus on among others Lync, Skype for Business and Teams.

As well as providing implementation and connectivity, LoopUp offers a fully- which includes solution design, project planning, migration and onboarding. Microsoft certified specialists work in partnership with customers to design and plan the migration and to support user training and adoption.

As part of his new role, Henderson will oversee the execution of Microsoft Teams cloud telephony deployments, from initial planning to project delivery.

According to research from Insight Partners, the Asia Pacific cloud communications market will be worth US$5.1 billion in 2027, up from $1.1 billion in 2018. The rapid growth comes on the back of the major paradigm shift to remote and digital working triggered by the global Covid-19 pandemic and resulting social distancing norms.

Henderson brings over two decades of experience in the telecommunications industry to the firm. He previously served Nexon for thirteen years in various technical roles. In his last role at the company, he led the design and deployment of Lync, Skype for Business and Teams direct routing solutions. Earlier in his career, he held positions at Telstra, BTAS and Cititel Telephone Systems.
