After serving Deloitte for over two decades in South Africa and Australia, Rob Scott has taken on a new challenge.

Appointed the Global Lead HCM and Behavioural Technologist at Smart WFM, Rob Scott has been tasked with leading the firm’s portfolio on human capital management and people technology. He brings over 30 years of experience in the field to his new role.

“My key focus will be to help Smart WFM’s clients with building business value through people. As a behavioural-technologist, I do this by bringing deep and global insights across people, strategy, HR, payroll, talent management, workforce management, and a range of technology offerings including automation, robotics, artificial intelligence and analytics,” said Scott.

Founded in 2016, Smart WFM is a human capital management consultancy specialising in digital transformation. The company helps its clients with designing and building employee experiences, enhancing people productivity and boosting employee satisfaction. Smart WFM also has a number of proprietary solutions such as Apitome, a software suite that helps organisations run their workforce programs and processes.

Commenting on why he joined Smart WFM, Scott said: “The philosophy that underpins Smart WFM generates value for clients by harnessing the unique and diverse passions of each individual in organisations. It’s an innovative approach to consulting which unlocks the true value of people – always the most valuable, and most expensive resource – in a business. It’s an area the Big Four and other large consultancies are not addressing in the market.”

Scott joined the firm from Deloitte, where he was a Principal in the Human Capital practice of Deloitte Consulting. Before that, he served as Global Lead for Strategy & Innovation at Presence of IT, a 600-strong company which was acquired by Deloitte in October 2019.

Earlier in his career he spent over a decade with Deloitte in South Africa, latterly leading the firm’s national HR transformation and SAP HR practices, and ten years at Dow Chemicals most recently as Group HR Manager. “Rob brings a wealth of experience to the firm, we are delighted to welcome him,” said Jarrod McGrath, the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Smart WFM.

Scott is based in Smart WFM’s Sydney office. The firm also has an office in Singapore and recently expanded into the United States.
