Digital transformation consultancy Diaxion has been acquired by Arq Group, a Sydney-headquartered IT services group.

Founded in 2000, Diaxion is a boutique digital transformation consultancy with a focus on the financial services and not-for-profit sectors. The firm operates with offices in Sydney and Melbourne, and supports its clients with consulting, IT strategy and architecture, DevOps, automation, cloud sourcing/adoption, and IT project delivery services.

Commenting on its decision to join Arq Group, founder Tony Wilkinson said: “I’m incredibly proud of what Diaxion has achieved over the last 20 years, and this acquisition is the natural next step for the business to offer our clients a full service of advisory to implementation all under one roof.”

“By joining forces, we can scale up our offering and continue to be industry trailblazers, showing the world that Australian-owned and operated businesses can deliver even better results than large multinational technology consultancies.”

Arq Group is one of Australia’s larger home-grown IT services companies, with deep expertise in the delivery of mobile, data and analytics, cloud and systems integration. The company, which has a headcount of over 350 employees according to its LinkedIn profile, also has a managed services wing.

“Diaxion’s leading advisory and digital transformation expertise complements Arq Group’s specialist capabilities,” said Arq Group chief executive Tristan Sternson. As part of the integration, Tony Wilkinson will become Arq’s Head of Advisory and join the company’s leadership team.

Arq Group was formed in April 2018 when Melbourne IT rebranded to its current name.
