RSM appoints six new partners and acquires LWM Group
RSM Australia has appointed new partners and principals across its nationwide offices, and further boosted its footprint with the acquisition of LWM Group’s practice in New South Wales.
Mid-tier accounting and consulting firm RSM has announced its intake of new leaders following a busy year, appointing Jerome Mohen, Bryan Ting and Jeremy Elman, and recruits Ashwin Pal, Craig Amos and Peter Sarandopoulos to the partnership.

Over the past year, our new leaders have individually and collectively demonstrated the capability of finding new and innovative ways to address our clients’ challenges whilst supporting their teams,” said RSM Australia National Chairman Jamie O’Rourke, who has been a partner at the firm for the past 21 years and chairman since mid-2016.
Jerome Mohen
A registered liquidator, Mohen is a member of RSM’s Restructuring & Recovery division in Perth, having risen up the ranks since commencing his restructure and recovery career with the firm in 2010. He holds a degree in Accounting and Corporate Governance from Curtin University.
Bryan Ting
With the firm in Perth since 2006, Ting has been promoted to partner in RSM’s Assurance & Advisory practice. With further experience in Singapore and Malaysia, Ting specialises in cross-border investment assurance such as to M&A and IPOs for clients in Asia and in particular China.
Craig Amos
A specialist in M&A and capital markets, Amos joins RSM as partner in Corporate Finance in Perth after a year serving as the CFO of technology intergrator Velrada. Earlier in his career, Amos spent close to eight years with EY, and brings more than 20 years of professional industry experience.
Jeremy Elman
Based in Sydney, Elman becomes a partner in RSM’s Risk Advisory Services practice. Joining the firm in 2015, Elman previously spent three years at BDO in the UK followed by seven years at PwC, gaining consulting and audit and assurance experience across a variety of industries.
Peter Sarandopoulos
Effective from the 1st of December, Sarandopoulos will join RSM in Perth as part of its Business Advisory practice after 16 years at Findex, where he is a partner. He has expertise in a variety of areas, including business strategy and planning, tax structuring, and virtual CFO services.
Ashwin Pal
The APAC director for cybersecurity with IT firm Unisys for the past five years, Pal joins RSM’s Sydney office as a partner in Security and Privacy Risk Services. Altogether he brings more than two decades of IT security industry experience to the firm, with nine of those at ICT firm Gen-i.
New Principals
In addition to the new partners, twelve RSM professionals have been promoted to Principal. In Business Advisory; Amanda Beckhouse (Wagga Wagga), Adam Eady (Albury), Andrew Fernance (Canberra), Kara Golding (Geraldton), Tom Hüberli (Fremantle), Gavin Stacey (Perth) and Karla Treweek (Ballarat).
In Assurance & Advisory; Jie Dong (Sydney), Jessica Lau (Melbourne) and Annerie Wootton (Brisbane). Nathan vom Bruch (Corporate Finance, Sydney) and Michael Watkins (Tax Services, Melbourne) were also promoted.
Gosford office
Meanwhile, RSM has further boosted its partner count through the acquisition of LWM Group is Gosford, with partners Matthew Moore, Sean Mulligan, Simon Hardie joining RSM together with a team of 26 professionals. The purchase sees RSM’s Australian footprint extend to 33 offices, including six across New South Wales. The financial terms of the deal weren’t disclosed.
