Advisory firm McGrathNicol promotes four into partnership
Specialist consultancy McGrathNicol has added four new partners across its offices in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne, covering advisory, forensics, restructuring, and clients & markets.
Australian advisory and restructuring firm McGrathNicol has welcomed Selina Gerner, Mark Holland, Trent Whitbourn and Melinda Hogan to its 40+ partnership. “Selina, Mark, Trent and Melinda are highly regarded professionals committed to delivering service excellence. We are delighted to be recognising their achievements,” said chairman Jason Preston.
Selina Gerner
Gerner has been with McGrathNicol for the past eleven and a half years, and joins the partnership team of the firm’s Advisory division out of Brisbane – where she leads the transactions, strategy and business improvement practice.
A specialist in financial performance, organisational improvement and governance, she works with not-for-profits, corporates and all levels of government. Prior to McGrathNicols she spent two years with KordaMentha.
Mark Holland
Also based out of Brisbane, Holland has been with the firm for thirteen and a half years as part of McGrathNicol’s restructuring team.
A registered liquidator, Holland has developed extensive experience supporting clients with among other areas operational restructuring, risk management, financial advisory, insolvency appointments and distressed M&A engagements, with Brisbane’s AirportLinkM7 tunnel among high-profile projects.
Trent Whitbourn
A forensic and technology specialist, Whitbourn joined McGrathNicol’s in Sydney in 2016 after four and a half years with Norton Rose Fulbright, before which he spent four years as a Technical Analyst with Herbert Smith Freehills.
He holds expertise in digital forensics, end-to-end e-discovery, cyber security and information risk, and data analytic, with experience spanning multiple jurisdictions and government and US regulator cases.
Melinda Hogan
Based in Melbourne, Hogan becomes a partner in McGrathNicol’s Clients & Markets operations after close to seventeen years with the firm, originally joining in 2004 after three and a half years as a Marketing Co-ordinator with KPMG.
Highly knowledgeable across the areas of strategy, brand, media, business development and stakeholder management, Hogan is credited for strengthening client relationships and leading the firm’s go to market strategy.
