Renée Law Bertuch joins Communications practice of FTI Consulting

FTI Consulting has strengthened its Strategic Communications division in Australia with Renée Law Bertuch, who is based in the firm’s Sydney office. 

Appointed a Senior Managing Director, Bertuch brings over 20 years of experience to the global management consulting firm. She specialises in strategic positioning, investor relations, capital market transactions, media relations and crisis and issues management, with a focus on clients in the technology, telecommunications, resources, financial services and retail sectors. 

Bertuch joins from Sydney-based Cannings Strategic Communications, where she headed the firm as Chief Executive Officer for over five years and led her team on transactions worth over AU$5 billion. She previously lived and worked in the United States, serving as Group Head of Investor Relations & Corporate Communications for NYSE-listed sunglass company Oakley.

The appointment comes shortly after the consultancy expanded its domestic restructuring practice with four senior managing directors – all of whom previously were partners at a Big Four firm.
