Fifth Dimension’s founder Lyndall Spooner named inaugural CEO
Fifth Dimension has expanded its executive team in response to the organisation’s growth, appointing company founder Lyndall Spooner to the newly created role of chief executive officer.
With around a decade of research and consulting experience under her belt, Lyndall Spooner co-founded Fifth Dimension in 2006. Under her direction, Sydney-based Fifth Dimension has grown into one of Australia’s leading consultancies specialised in data-driven market research and customer experience enhancement in the consumer and household landscape.
Having grown its revenue by 20 percent over the last 18 months (and staff base to around 40 members), the company’s executive team felt the need to install a chief executive officer. Formerly the company’s managing director, Spooner has now been appointed to the role, which sees her oversee an enlarged executive further consisting of John Crowley, Alex Vishney and fellow co-founder David Gemmola.
“We have experienced strong growth during the pandemic as we continue to raise our profile as thought leaders in the industry,” said Spooner. “The new executive structure will support our continued growth ambitions while safeguarding our innovation-led culture.”
In her new role as CEO, she will lead Fifth Dimensions’ strategy and its execution, oversee the leadership team and internal operations, and lead the firm’s innovation and external partnerships agenda.
“After 15 years of leading Fifth Dimension I can honestly say I have never been more excited for what our company of highly intelligent and curious people will achieve going forward.”
Fifth Dimension works for well-known clients including Coles, Westpac, HCF, Telstra, Foxtel, Colgate and the Commonwealth Bank. The company has been recognised for the quality of its work several times over the past years, including bagging the Achievement in Customer Excellence Award in the Innovation category of the 2021 Confirmit ACE Awards, and being named a Top 25 Strategic Consultancy by GreenBook Research Industry Trends in 2020.
