Digital and marketing consultancy R/GA continues hiring spree
The Australian branch of consulting firm R/GA continues to increase its talent stocks with new hires, including Siona Singletary and Scott McKinnon in senior strategy roles.
Marketing, innovation and consulting firm R/GA – which has been on a roll of late picking up the A-League among other major clients such as Uber and Mecca – has boosted its domestic team with almost a dozen recent hires. Heading up the list is Siona Singletary, as Associate Strategy Director, and senior strategist Scott McKinnon, who has spent time at Ogilvy among other agencies. The recruits come from a diverse range of backgrounds.
“Founded on the Bauhaus movement, we genuinely have a passion for creating teams that have different skills, perspectives, and backgrounds to solve today’s increasingly complex problems,” said R/GA Australia’s Executive Strategy Director Jon Holloway. “We continue to grow and build a team that has the strategic, creative and technical capability to help brands dominate in the most human and effective way for today and tomorrow’s world.”
Singletary has arrived at R/GA following a freelance stint, during which time she also contributed to TEDx Sydney as writer, with previous periods spent at independent Sydney-based comms and PR agencies Poem and Quiip. McKinnon meanwhile, in addition to Ogilvy in London, comes to R/GA via the UK branch of international tech and customer experience firm VMLY&R, before which he worked at CX Lavender in Sydney.
Elsewhere, R/GA’s experience strategy team has been bolstered by Cristina Douglas and Stephen Naimo as Experience Design Directors in respectively Sydney and Melbourne. Douglas crosses after more than a decade with digital agency Canvas, where she rose to digital director, while Naimo joins from AKQX, where he led CX, marketing and digital strategy engagements for retail and financial services clients.
The firm’s data science team has meanwhile added analysts Jobin John and Rohan Batia, with the latter since promoted to Associate Strategist. In addition, Marc Williamson has been recruited as a manager for data & analytics. Rounding out the hires are Lewis Pola (SEO analyst in R/GA’s growth marketing team), Claire Rorke and Matt Vandenberg as community and social media managers, and Callum James as a senior social strategist.
“Our ambition is to help clients innovate at the intersection of brand, experience, communications, and technology,” said Michael Titshall, who joined the firm in the middle of 2019 as Vice President and Managing Director for R/GA Australia. “We believe having this diverse team under one strategic offering puts our clients in a stronger position to more effectively connect with people’s changing media behaviours and technology habits.”
