Patient Zero has announced the promotion of Brendan Homann to Chief Operating Officer to support the company’s Sydney growth and recent contract wins.

The appointment follows a period of rapid growth for Patient Zero, which offers clients consulting, application development and managed services.

Paul Briggs, CEO of Patient Zero, said that Homann’s capabilities as a product owner and consultant meant that he was the perfect fit to sustainably scale Patient Zero’s operations while maintaining the firm’s “unique employee-owned way of working that underpins all of our offerings.”

“Brendan’s new role is essential to ensuring we are able to effectively bridge the gap between sales and delivery, and maintain our ability to execute with exceptional results as we scale, said Briggs.

“Key to this will be his ability to sustainably scale our way of working, ensuring that the insights we’ve built over the years feed into every consulting, development and managed services agreement we deliver.”

“As our Principal Consultant, Brendan has successfully delivered on complex engagements across all of our offerings, and is ideally positioned to help us sustainably accelerate the growth of all of our services to Sydney and beyond.”

Commenting on his new role, Homann said that he was looking forward to building stronger relationships with partners and growing Patient Zero’s offerings. “Since we established the business around teams-as-a-service, we’ve delivered hundreds of full stack cloud native applications, helped teams of all sizes transform their approach to software and expanded into Managed Services,” he said.

“We’ve recently signed a number of managed services clients, both for existing applications they own and new applications we’ve built, who are excited by our unique approach to supporting their applications, and the incredible team available to support them,” said Brendan.

Meanwhile, Patient Zero also announced a number of other internal promotions, including the appointment of Demelza Green as the firm’s first Principal Experience Manager and the promotion of Josh McCure and Emilien Perico as Developer Custodians. “Despite the constant challenges that Covid-19 has thrown us, these appointments are setting the stage for an exciting year of growth,” concluded Briggs.
