Tom Novak joins Kearney’s Australian partnership from Strategy&
Global strategy consulting firm Kearney has welcomed Tom Novak to its partnership, who joins from rival Strategy&.
Appointed a partner in Kearney’s Melbourne office, Tom Novak brings over 20 years of professional experience, close to a decade of which he spent with Strategy&, the global strategy consulting business of PwC.
Novak joined the consultancy when the firm was still operating as Booz & Company, and climbed the ranks to his most recent role of director (the level below partner).
Earlier in his career, Novak held positions as a strategy manager at National Australia Bank and business consultant at IBM.
He specialises in organic growth strategy, having gained extensive experience in projects focused on market entry, portfolio strategy, digital growth strategy and product strategy. He in addition has done significant work developing corporate venturing strategies and vice versa, helped start-ups with corporate partnership strategies.
Novak also has experience in the mergers & acquisitions space, with 20+ deals under his belt, spanning both buy-side and sell-side work across most deal phases – from initiation through to integration.
While he has gained broad sector experience, including across telecom, healthcare, private equity, retail, automotive, logistics, energy, education and facilities management, Novak’s key focus is on financial services. “I have served Australian majors, regional banks, neobanks, and global banks,” he states on his LinkedIn profile.
At Kearney, he is a member of the Financial Services practices, and focuses on growth strategy, transformations, organisational restructuring, and mergers & acquisitions.
The move comes shortly after Strategy& saw another team member, Tamanah Azizi, depart for Monitor Deloitte – the strategy consulting outfit of Deloitte.
