Mitchell Taylor joins Australian partnership of Simon-Kucher
Global sales & marketing strategy and pricing consultancy Simon-Kucher & Partners has promoted Sydney-based company member Mitchell Taylor to partner.
Mitchell Taylor has been with Simon-Kucher & Partners since the beginning of 2016, starting out as a senior consultant and climbing the ranks to now become a partner, effective 1 January 2022.
Operating out of the Sydney office (with around 20 people one of the smaller hubs in Simon-Kucher’s 40+ office network), Taylor specialises in topline projects, including revenue growth, sales and margin optimisation and pricing.
Taylor works mainly with clients in the consumer goods, restaurants and retail sector, and leads Simon-Kucher’s Consumer Goods & Retail practice within the Asia-Pacific region.
Prior to joining the German-origin management consulting firm, Taylor spent several years developing and executing commercial strategies within consumer goods companies Nestlé and GWA Group.
Commenting on why he enjoys life at Simon-Kucher’s Sydney office, he said: “We are serious when we need to be, always deliver high-quality work on time, and support each other along the way. And when things are done, we also know how to relax and have a good time together.”
Mitchell Taylor completed his postgraduate studies in Economics at the University of Sydney, and his Undergraduate studies in Commerce at the University of Western Sydney.
Simon-Kucher has been present in Australia since 2010. Other partners in the Sydney office are Christoph Petzoldt (managing partner) and Jason Carley.
Globally, Simon-Kucher promoted 24 new partners at the start of this year (of which 18 in Europe) following a record-breaking financial year. In 2021, the firm booked 22% growth to achieve worldwide revenues of €442 million.
