BDO and Grant Thornton add partners in Adelaide and Perth
Mid-tier accounting and consulting firms Grant Thornton and BDO have boosted their Australian partnerships, respectively adding Jeremy Bogue in Perth and Chris Korte in Adelaide.
Experienced corporate financial adviser Jeremy Bogue has joined the financial services practice of professional services firm Grant Thornton as a partner in Perth, after previously leading KPMG’s Capital Markets practice in Singapore.
Meanwhile, fellow mid-tier accounting and consulting firm BDO has welcomed Chris Korte as a partner in Adelaide, where he will lead the firm’s Digital and Technology Advisory practice.
Originally working as a solicitor in Australia, Bogue has been with KPMG in Singapore for the past decade and a half, serving Southeast Asian mid-cap clients on mergers & acquisitions, private equity, valuations and due diligence. Prior to returning to Australia last month, Bogue served as KPMG Singapore’s Capital Markets leader, and was also recently involved in building a dedicated dispute valuation practice.
“Jeremy brings a unique set of skills to our business which will be incredibly valuable both to our clients in Perth, and more broadly across Grant Thornton,” said financial advisory practice head David Hodgson, who noted Bogue’s extensive experience in the energy & natural resources sectors. “We’ve been working closely with Jeremy as a consultant over the past six months and we are delighted he joins us in a permanent role as partner.
Meanwhile, former ASG Group South Australia state manager Chris Korte has joined the partnership of BDO in Adelaide to lead the firm’s local Digital & Technology Advisory team, bringing more than 20 years of industry experience across Australia and Asia. In addition to NRI subsidiary ASG, Korte has also previously served as head of sales at Datacom Connect and as a sales and marketing director at NEC.
“Chris has had an extensive and successful career in digital and technology and is well known in the South Australia market, bringing with him an excellent understanding of the industry, our segment, and how to approach it,” said BDO advisory partner Kyffin Thompson. “His experience in developing and implementing digital and technical strategies for clients, and leading and managing large teams of professionals will be a great addition to our Adelaide office.”
