Elixirr boosts financial services team with new partner Denis Orrock
Elixirr has strengthened its partner team in Australia with Denis Orrock, who has been tasked with expanding the firm’s footprint in the financial services industry.
Denis Orrock joins partner Daniel Lemcke at the helm, who has been with the UK-headquartered management consulting firm since 2014 and currently leads the Australia practice.
“I’m thrilled to be joining the team at Elixirr and helping the firm expand its presence in Australia. What they have already built here is strong and I’m confident in our ability to take it to the next level,” said Orrock of his new challenge.
Established in 2009 in London, Elixirr today has over 500 consultants and staff across 10 cities in 4 continents. The firm first launched in Australia in 2020, and has since built a track record in several sectors, including financial services, retail and consumer goods, natural resources and technology.
“When we initially decided to launch into the Australian market two years ago, we saw a huge opportunity and that opportunity has only continued to grow,” said Stephen Newton, Founder and CEO of Elixirr. Expanding the team in Australia is a strategic one for the firm, as we plan to continue disrupting the consulting industry.”
Orrock brings with him extensive experience in financial services to the firm. He most recently was Head of Capital Markets for FNZ, and before that he held roles as GBST’s Head of Asia Pacific and Chief Executive of the Broker Services division before the technology group was acquired by FNZ. Earlier he spent over six years at UBS, among others.
“Denis brings with him an impressive network and extensive experience in our top industry – financial services – and it’s one that’s especially in demand in Australia. This expertise, coupled with his connections both in the region and across the globe will only help us accelerate our growth,” said Newton.
For Orrock, his move means that he will now work with consultants that he in his previous role as a client hired and/or worked with. “As a client of Elixirr’s for nearly 10 years through my role at GBST, I got to experience firsthand the high quality of work they produce and it’s exactly what drew me to become a part of it.”
Earlier this year, Elixirr also strengthened its Australian team with Bill Michael, the former CEO of KPMG in the UK. Michael is an Australian native with client ties in the country and the wider Asia Pacific region.
