SRA founder Steve Rowe passes the CEO baton to Tim Chopping
IT consultancy SRA has appointed a new CEO, with founder Steve Rowe passing on the baton to Tim Chopping.
Following a spell at among others Big Four firm PwC, Steve Rowe established SRA Information Technology (SRA) in 1992 in Adelaide. Under his leadership, the firm has grown into a consultancy with around 150 staff specialised in technology consultancy, application development and software.
As the firm marks its 30th anniversary, Rowe is transitioning to the role of Chairman. His role as CEO is now taken on by Tim Chopping, who has been with the firm for eight years in the Adelaide headquarters.
Chopping most recently was SRA’s Executive Manager for Sales, Marketing and People. During his time at the IT consulting firm, he has built a professional sales and marketing capability and launched the firm’s SRA People offering (a staffing service for IT talent).
“Tim’s combination of experience, knowledge and drive makes him the ideal fit to lead us into its next chapter as CEO. He operates with a high-performance and inclusive methodology, flowing through in his leadership style as he leads our three-year strategic growth plan,” said Rowe.
Chopping oversees SRA’s company strategy and operations across its footprint, which spans five offices in Australia (Adelaide, Canberra, Perth, Brisbane, Darwin) and one internationally (Singapore).
“SRA has an amazing market opportunity, and we are just scratching the surface of what’s possible. I am honoured to lead such a dedicated group of people as we continue our focus, passion, and dedication to achieving outcomes for clients and staff,” said Chopping.
