More recently, Roberts worked as a consultant to the sector, providing practical advice to parties engaged in the development, construction and ownership of projects.

His track record includes helping clients with managing disputes and claims, preparing expert evidence, commercial management, cost estimating and financial control, contract administration, and procurement of contracts.

Roberts has also acted as the lead quantum expert on numerous matters and has testified in formal proceedings in Australia. Outside of Australia, he has acted as a supporting expert in matters (mainly in Asia Pacific geographies).

Commenting on his new role, Roberts said, “I’m delighted to join HKA, one of the world’s leading expert and advisory firms (and one of Australia’s leading forensic consulting firms). There is a lot of potential in the Asia Pacific region and I look forward to working with colleagues and clients across borders. I’m passionate about business growth and staff development, so it’s great to be working with a group of talented and like-minded professionals.”

Welcoming Roberts to the firm, Shamila Neelakandan, Asia Pacific Head of Construction Claims and Expert Services, said, “We’re very excited to have Phil on board to further build on our quantum capabilities. He has extensive experience in disputes, particularly expert services and will be a significant asset to our team.”

Globally, HKA has more than 1,000 staff across 40+ offices in 18 countries. The firm’s growth strategy is backed by private equity.
