Viseo acquires 30-strong Salesforce partner Carnac Group
International IT consultancy Viseo has bolstered its team in Australia with the acquisition of Carnac Group, a Sydney based Salesforce partner.
With over 2,700 employees working from five continents, Viseo ranks among one of the world’s larger digital consultancies and technology services companies. The firm entered the Australian market in 2017, and currently operates with offices in Sydney, Brisbane, and Melbourne.
With the addition of 30-strong Carnac Group, Viseo deepens its local Salesforce capabilities, which supports clients from advisory and system build through to implementation and managed services. The deal lifts Viseo’s team to 70 employees nationally.
Founded in 2012, Carnac Group is a Salesforce consulting partner that has grown fast off late, with its headcount increasing from seven to thirty in the past four years. In 2020, Salesforce named the firm its top Asia Pacific Implementation Partner of the Year, and in 2022, Carnac Group bagged the Global Innovation Award in the SMB Consulting Partner category.
Carnac Group focuses on clients in the manufacturing, property, construction and consumer goods sectors.

As part of the integration, Carnac Group Managing Director Vincent Motte has been appointed Viseo’s Salesforce practice lead for Australia. “Combining the industry experience of Carnac Group and the delivery excellence of Viseo creates a major Salesforce player in the local market. We are excited to leverage our combined strengths to deliver even more value and innovation to our clients,” he said.
Salesforce deals
Sydney-based SCD Advisory provided M&A advisory to Carnac Group. Motte commented: “We’d like to thank the SCD Advisory team for their guidance and support in navigating this transaction. The team was great to work which allowed for a very efficient transaction. We could really benefit from their invaluable experience in the sector.”
According to Pierre Briand, the Founder of SCD Advisory, the acquisition “reaffirms the continued strong interest in the fast-growing Salesforce ecosystem.” Research from global dealmaker Equiteq found that the number of Salesforce-focused transactions more than doubled over the past two years, with private equity a major driving force.
Earlier this year, both PwC and Publicis Sapient acquired Salesforce consultancies in Australia and New Zealand, while elsewhere, BearingPoint yesterday picked up a Salesforce specialist in the UK. In 2022, strategy giant McKinsey beefed up its capabilities in the landscape with a large acquisition in Spain.
Financial terms of the Viseo - Carnac Group deal have not been disclosed. The lead buy-side financial advisor to the deal was unknown at the time of writing.
