A team of tech and recruitment advisers have launched a new transformation consultancy in Melbourne, which will bring together the co-founders’ expertise in digital strategy and talent sourcing.

Established by former Versent and DigiRen general manager Amit Singh together with HeXTalent founder Jeff Teale and fellow directors Jeremy Kennedy and Hannah Mangan, Happily Transformed bills itself as a business transformation and talent consultancy.

According to Singh, the firm’s two-pronged approach aims to plug a significant gap in the market – with its services in strategy, delivery leadership and change management offered alongside talent sourcing to support customers with their digital transformation projects at a fraction of the cost of engaging bigger end-to-end players such as Accenture and the Big Four.

“Our ecosystem of partners provides specialised products and services. Whilst a ‘Big Four’ consultancy may have many of these capabilities all under one roof, we are able to present a ‘consortium’ of partners to our customers without the premium price tag,” Singh stated, adding that the company’s deep market understanding and tech and transformation experience means it can advise clients on the best-value options for requisite skills acquisition.

Singh has launched the new venture after spending the past four years in regional and growth general manager roles at ICT consultancies DigiRen, Reflex Technology Group, and Versent (the latter which is currently up for sale). Prior to that, Singh spent six years at AWS and Azure consultancy Olikka, which was purchased by Accenture in 2020, before which he served as a solutions architect at Logicalis and consulting manager at Accenture itself.

The other Happily Transformed co-founders meanwhile share a human resources background, having all spent time together at Gough Recruitment in Melbourne over the course of 2019. From there, Teale launched talent solutions platform HeXTalent, while Kennedy established specialist property, real estate and construction recruitment agency Scouted, with Mangan later on board and presently serving as operations and marketing manager.

“I’m thrilled to announce a significant milestone with Happily Transformed,” Kennedy stated. “This venture will play a crucial role in a larger endeavour that is gaining momentum. The power of collaboration is immense. Together, we can achieve far more than we can alone. That’s why I am excited to join forces with exceptional individuals who share the goal of making a lasting impact on evolving businesses throughout Australia.”

Ultimately, Singh contends that Happily Transformed can address a number of the common challenges that organisations face during digital transformations, such as a lack of resources, difficulty is sourcing the appropriate talent, and problems with staying the course, concluding that the consultancy will help “create an achievable strategic plan, considering the balance between immediate results and sustained change, and drive it through to execution.”
