Global consulting firm HKA has expanded its Advisory partner team in Australia with David Hull.

A qualified Civil Engineer, David Hull brings over 25 years of professional services experience in major infrastructure projects and program delivery across Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific to the firm.

Operating out of Brisbane, Hull will focus on expanding HKA’s presence in the Queensland market. The firm’s Advisory practice advises clients on how they can optimally setup and deliver infrastructure and capital projects, across the entire construction lifecycle.

Commenting on his new role, Hull said: “It’s an exciting time to join HKA at a time of growth and expansion in Asia Pacific. I’m thrilled to be working with a team that is committed to diversity and the development of colleagues while keeping clients at the centre of everything they do. I look forward to continuing to support positive outcomes for Queensland and working with colleagues locally and beyond.”

Prior to joining HKA, Hull led organisational strategy and business development teams across Australia and New Zealand at Jacobs for eight years. Most recently, he led a focus on decarbonisation and digital solutions with clients in the resources sector, supporting their energy transition and value creation strategies. He also provided leadership to major infrastructure programs by government and private sector.

Before Jacobs, Hull worked fifteen years for Sinclair Knight Merz, which was acquired by Jacobs in 2013.

“David is a very welcome addition to our Advisory team,” said Amelia East, Head of Advisory for Asia Pacific at HKA. “His leadership, collaborative approach, strategic foresight, and purpose led visioning will be an asset to our clients, and his experience on major projects will add further depth to our service offering. I’m confident he will galvanise our Queensland presence and make a huge impact in the region!”

Benjamin Highfield, Asia Pacific CEO at HKA, added, “David’s dedication to service delivery excellence, innovation and client and stakeholder centricity will provide extra value to our clients and cements our commitment to the Queensland market.”

Across its Asia Pacific operations, private equity-backed HKA has over 160 staff. Its Australian footprint comprises offices in Sydney, Brisbane, and Melbourne.
