Nous appoints Adam Gray as CEO of education business NousCubane
Nous Group has appointed Adam Gray as Chief Executive Officer of NousCubane, its education solutions business.
Adam Gray has been with Nous Group for the past eight years, and has been acting as CEO delegate of NousCubane since December last year.
Described as one of Australia’s leading higher education consultants with expertise in strategy, transformation, and operational performance, Gray brings two decades worth of professional experience to his new role.
NousCubane was founded in 2009 and has since established itself as a leader in higher education benchmarking services, working with leading universities in Australia, New Zealand, Canada, the UK and Ireland. The firm became part of Nous Group in 2021.
Gray has been tasked with leading the expansion of its global presence and service offerings with a focus on data-led solutions. “It couldn’t be a more exciting time to be leading NousCubane as we leverage the business’ strong growth to expand our international presence and broaden our offer to help more higher education institutions solve a greater array of problems,” he stated.
“Tertiary education leaders around the world are facing unprecedented challenges. Innovative and robust data-led approaches, coupled with global cooperation, will be essential to success in the coming decades.”
Prior to joining Nous Group in 2016, Gray served in a variety of roles, including as an innovation and technology senior manager in the Victorian Department of Economic Development, Jobs, Transport and Resources, and as a consultant with boutique management advisory Strategic Project Partners. A mechatronics graduate of the University of Tasmania, Gray earlier in his career served as a program and product manager with life sciences company Leica Microsystems.
“With a deep understanding of all facets of university academic mission and operation, and a background in technology and product development, Adam is well positioned to lead NousCubane as it further strengthens its offering,” stated Nous CEO Tim Orton, while thanking Gray’s predecessor Edward Curry-Hyde, who co-founded Cubane in 2009.
“Under Edward’s leadership, NousCubane has established itself as a global leader and trusted partner for universities around the world.”
Meanwhile, in its international business, Nous Group has welcomed Ray Messom to its practice in Canada.
