Jester Strategy launches in Australia through local tie-up
Dutch strategy consulting boutique Jester Strategy has expanded into the Australian market through the acquisition of SJS Strategy.
Hot on the heels of its 10-year anniversary, Jester Strategy has hit another major milestone with its inaugural operation outside of the Netherlands, where it is based in the town of Amersfoort.
“Over the past decade, we have grown into an established player in our home market and made an impact at dozens of clients. We’ve been seeing growing demand for our services from companies worldwide, and Australia provides us with the ideal stepping stone for the APAC market,” said Jester Strategy founder, Michiel de Vries.
Perth-based SJS Strategy has been on Jester Strategy’s radar for a while. The two boutiques have worked together “on numerous projects in recent years” confirmed De Vries, who also is closely connected with SJS Strategy founder Sander van Amelsvoort – he established the firm five years ago following a 15-year career in Australian business.
“With our base in Australia, we can now better serve our clients in the region. The SJS Strategy team also brings complementary capabilities in strategic foresight to our portfolio.”
Van Amelsvoort said the joining of forces will enable the SJS Strategy team to gain access to state-of-the-art capabilities in strategy frameworks and tools. “The expertise that Jester Strategy has developed in the heart of a highly competitive European market over the last decade is impressive. Our joining of forces will mean that we can deliver even more value to our clients internationally.”
One of the offerings Jester Strategy is particularly renowned for is scenario planning and war gaming. “The gamification of foresight and strategy development will allow our clients to not just imagine the future, but to actually experience it through a creative and immersive process that brings incredibly powerful results.”
