Progility Technologies makes board-level appointments
Melbourne-based ICT services and consulting firm Progility Technologies has made three changes in its executive team, including the appointment of David Gilmour as CEO.
Progility Technologies has a history dating back for more than 30 years, with a headcount of 80 professionals across offices in Brisbane, Sydney, Perth and its headquarters in Melbourne’s southeast. The company provides advisory, implementations and managed services for critical communications technology across a wide range of heavy, knowledge, and services industries.
A former partner and managing director at Boston Consulting Group (BCG), David Gilmour has served as Progility’s co-executive chairman for the past four and a half years following a senior leadership stint at Ernst & Young.
Gilmour kicked off his career with more than a decade in strategy consulting, rising to senior engagement manager at McKinsey & Company before later joining the partnership of BCG. From there he spent the next decade or so running his own – separate – pilot training and wine sales businesses, and then served as Oceania strategy & customer consulting managing director at EY.
“Having served as Progility's co-executive chair for the last four and a half years, I am excited to take on the role of CEO and work more closely with our team to drive our strategic objectives forward,” Gilmour said. “Our commitment to being a customer-centric organisation remains at the heart of our strategy, and I look forward to continuing our close partnerships with our customers and suppliers.”
Kerry Mitropoulos meanwhile joins the firm as COO following a thirty-five-year career leading telecom projects across the world in senior technical management roles, including for the likes of Telstra, Nortel, AusNet and for over a decade at NBN, the latter where he served as Victoria general manager for optical fiber network deployment & delivery and later field operations & maintenance.
Progility’s former COO, Megan Hossack, meanwhile steps into the chief commercial role after first joining as CFO in 2018, having started her career with a stint at Deloitte in Durban while completing a commerce & accounting degree with the University of KwaZulu-Natal. Since then, she has gained over two decades of experience in executive roles and running her own business.
“These leadership changes reflect our unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional value to our customers and maintaining our momentum in the market,” Progility Technologies stated. “With their wealth of experience and strategic vision, David, Megan and Kerry are perfectly positioned as part of our dedicated strategic leadership team to guide Progility through its next phase of growth.”
