Deltek appoints Dean Tilsley as chief financial officer

Deltek, a global provider of software and solutions for project-based businesses including consultancies, has named Dean Tilsley as its new Chief Financial Officer.

In his new role, finance veteran Dean Tilsley will oversee the financial management of the company and play a key role in driving financial strategy, optimizing operational efficiency, and supporting the company’s growth efforts.

Headquartered in the US, Deltek provides project-based businesses with solutions to run their operations, such as enterprise resource planning (ERP), professional services automation (PSA), time tracking, and more. The company has revenues of more than US$800 million worldwide.

Tilsley joins Deltek from Renaissance Learning, where he was CFO. Previously, he was the CFO for the Software and Media Solutions Group of Cox Automotive, where he consolidated leading online auto sales brands into a high growth, high margin business. Prior to that, he served in leadership roles at NASDAQ, Reuters and at Associated Press Television.

After earning a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Otago in his native New Zealand, Tilsley later on earned his MBA from Imperial College in London.
