Amplify Procurement named one of Australia’s best places to work
The Australian has released its Best Places to Work List for 2024, with Amplify Procurement ranked in the top 10 in the category of under 50 employees.
The ‘Best Places to Work’ list, created by The Australian in partnership with employee experience expert WorkL, recognises organisations across Australia that excel in employee experience and wellbeing. Rankings are based on overall scores across six key drivers of workplace engagement: Reward and Recognition, Information Sharing, Empowerment, Wellbeing, Instilling Pride, and Job Satisfaction.
The list is categorised into four main groups based on company size, with the small business category (below 50 employees) being the most competitive.
This year, Amplify Procurement earned a top 10 spot in the small business category. “This recognition highlights our commitment to creating a positive work environment where employees feel valued, supported, and engaged,” said Michael Baron, managing director of the firm.
Founded in 2018, Amplify Procurement is specialised procurement consultancy with a team of over 30 staff, serving a diverse client base that includes enterprise, mid-market and government organisations.
In the Best Places to Work assessment, Amplify Procurement achieved impressive results across all six key drivers, earning scores of 92% or higher in each category. Additionally, the firm’s commitment towards creating a positive work environment was reflected in employee feedback, with 98% expressing satisfaction and feeling safe in their current work setting.
Asked how the firm nurtures a culture that is described by employees as inclusive, collaborative, supportive, and fun, Baron said that the firm runs a variety of initiatives designed to enhance employee well-being, promote work-life balance, and support professional growth. The company hosts four major events annually, including its flagship Ampliversary event held each September.
Beyond events, Amplify Procurement also runs a training program called the Amplify Bootcamp, offering a fully immersive learning experience that guides employees through an end-to-end procurement process while teaching essential consultancy skills. The consulting firm also support its employees though initiatives such as bi-annual promotion cycles, bonus schemes and funding for industry qualifications, like CIPS (Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply).
Meanwhile, the firm has also demonstrated a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion, achieving equal representation of male and female employees throughout the organisation and earning high praise from employees for their approach to these crucial areas.
“As we continue to grow and evolve, we remain committed to maintaining our standards,” said Baron. “With a focus on employee satisfaction and a commitment to excellence, we are well-positioned to continue attracting top talent and achieving further success in the future.”
Earlier this year, Amplify Procurement was also named among Australia’s leading procurement consulting firms.
