Nous Group makes number of senior promotions to kick off the new year
Management consultancy Nous Group has rung in the new year with a number of senior promotions.
Spearheading the line-up is Michael Stewart, who has been promoted to principal and lead of the firm’s growing Darwin office. Additionally, Hilary Bush in Melbourne and Perth-based pair Hudson Delves and Mia Juritzen have been promoted to director, while former head of technology Peter Brand takes on the chief information officer role.
“A collective determination to constantly improve, learn and polish our craft is essential to good consulting,” said Nous Group CEO and managing principal, Tim Orton. “These latest promotions reflect that determination and ambition.”
Michael Stewart
An expert in public health and sustainable development with a focus on qualitative data collection, analysis, strategic advisory, and project management, Stewart has been elevated to principal and will now head up Nous’ Darwin office after an earlier career which has included roles with the UNDP and Nepalese health ministry and projects spanning the globe from Turkey to Guatemala.
Marking the fifth anniversary of its 2019 launch last year, Nous’ Darwin office has since grown to a team of around 18 professionals, including fellow principal Kendra Cockburn and Hugh Bond, who was promoted to director in July. The office serves government and non-profit clients in areas such as healthcare, human services, justice, education and infrastructure among other sectors.
Hilary Bush
Bush becomes a director after joining the firm in 2018 following a masters in educational management with the University of Melbourne, before which she earned a nursing degree. As a member of Nous’ health practice, Bush brings her clinical experience to projects in the sector with a focus on virtual care, service strategy, and organisational performance.
Hudson Delves
Delves has been with Nous in Perth since 2019, primarily supporting WA government agencies and non-profit organisations with service delivery and operating model design, evaluations, and transformations across human services, health and education. He holds a commerce degree in economics and business law with the University of Western Australia.
Mia Juritzen
Likewise based in Perth, Juritzen joined Nous in 2021 following close to a decade in education support and administration, including most recently as head of school offices for London Metropolitan University. She continues to support education sector clients at Nous, with a focus on strategic planning and organisational performance and transformation.
Peter Brand
Meanwhile, Nous has tapped Peter Brand as its new chief information officer, a role he previously served in in an acting capacity. Based out of Melbourne, Brand has been with Nous in a variety of tech roles since 2018, including as head of applications & business intelligence and most recently head of technology. Previous employers include John Holland and Bae Systems.
