RSK has merged two of its project management businesses, Projence and Western Project Services, into a single brand, strengthening its end-to-end project management capacity in Australia.

Effective 1 April 2025, Western Project Services (WPS) has been integrated into Projence, with the two companies to operate under the Projence brand. “This is a significant and strategic step for RSK in Australia,” said RSK Managing Director Mark Haydock. “Our customers will see immediate benefit through delivery capability, sector expertise and long-term value.”

“This merger will reshape the delivery of project management services in significant sectors in regional and remote areas, bringing together decades of experience and proven success in energy, water, infrastructure and the built and natural environments.”

Projence has been part of RSK since 2022. The company delivers project management and advisory solutions, overseeing all facets of project execution, from developmental planning to project controls. With offices across regional New South Wales and Brisbane, it has managed projects in the energy, mining, port, rail, road and water sectors.

Notable projects of Projence include the Hunter Power Project for Snowy Hydro; the Wagga Wagga Special Activation Precinct; and flood recovery and road restoration works for several councils.

Western Project Services meanwhile was acquired in 2021 and is an infrastructure-focused project management consultancy that delivers project management, road safety and consulting engineering services across regional New South Wales and Brisbane. Its projects have spanned the road, rail and water sectors, with clients including local councils, private contractors and state government agencies.

“We are combining two high-performing teams with complementary strengths, realising more innovation and consistency for our customers. Our priority is always to deliver outstanding results, and this merger gives us the scale and flexibility to do just that,” said Projence Managing Director Gavin Heydon.

With more than 15,000 people in 40 countries and 6 continents, RSK is one of the world’s largest environmental and engineering consultancies. The group is also the parent of Australian subsidiaries Edge Impact and RSK Global Experts.
