BDO boosts Australian C-suite with Tiffany Wong and Nicole Aman

Accounting and consulting firm BDO has made two external additions to its C-suite, bringing in both Tiffany Wong as chief information officer and Nicole Aman as chief client officer.

Tiffany Wong joins BDO from her most recent role as CIO for Victoria’s Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action, while Nicole Aman crosses after two decades at PwC in Australia and the UK, most recently as head of clients, marketing and sales.

The latest C-suite additions come as David Garvey prepares to take the helm from Tony Schiffmann from the beginning of December, the latter who steps up as global chair, while current CMO Janet Glasper will retire at the end of the year, her role being replaced by Aman’s.

“We are building a leadership team that is both equipped for today and ready to shape the future of our firm,” Garvey said. “Tiffany’s leadership and experience will be instrumental as we continue to advance our digital strategy and infrastructure to support continued growth, (while) Nicole brings a sharp client-centric focus, backed by experience in marketing, leadership coaching and sales.”

Prior to her past four years as an executive director in the Victorian public service, Wong, who will continue to be based out of Melbourne, spent four and a half years at Aurecon as a global IT leader, first for transformation and then regions & markets, with an earlier lengthy stint at Newcrest Mining coming on the back of a decade at IBM to kick off her career.

Currently based out of Sydney, Aman has meanwhile been with PwC since the start of the century, including for a period in London, initially in the area of assurance before moving into business development and client-focused roles, most recently as clients, marketing & sales managing partner. She succeeds Glasper, who has served as chief marketing officer since 2000.

Speaking further on the pair of senior additions, Garvey said Wong’s experience in supporting a contemporary and digitally-enabled workforce would improve BDO’s service delivery and enhance client outcomes, while Aman’s combined expertise would help the firm achieve its strategic goals and continue to deliver exceptional experiences for its clients and people.

Other leaders

BDO’s other C-suite leaders include Cara Wennerbom as chief operating officer since 2023, Abby Henderson, who replaced Wennerbom as CFO, recently-appointed chief strategy officer Jane Couchman, and Peter O’Sullivan as chief people officer. Jane Bowen (audit) and Willem Olivier (risk & compliance) are also quality management members of BDO’s operational leadership team.
