Melbourne-based data & analytics firm Notitia has expanded its presence into Tasmania via a partnership with local outfit Rod Jager Consulting, marking its second interstate move in two years.

A three-decade accounting and advisory veteran, Rod Jager established his analytics consultancy in Hobart in 2016, while Notitia was founded in Melbourne in 2019 before adding a branch in Canberra two years ago to complement an existing Adelaide outlet.

The new partners say that the arrangement will enhance access to high-level support for Tasmanian organisations in their data and digital transformation projects, combining the bench-strength of Notitia and its broader services portfolio with Rod Jager’s local reputation.

“The partnership allows us to establish a presence in Tasmania in a way that’s grounded in local experience, trust and user-centred delivery,” said founder and chief Alex Avery. “Rod Jager Consulting and Notitia have had a long-standing relationship as industry peers and we’ve supported each other’s success along the way, so it’s exciting to embark on this next chapter together.”

The firm described Rod Jager Consulting as being recognised as the Apple Isle’s leading Qlik solutions partner, while Notitia also counts Microsoft, Databricks, and AWS among its technology partners in addition to Qlik, providing private and public sector clients with a broad range of services across data strategy and delivery, analytics, web development, and UX & UI design.

“Tasmanian customers will gain access to Notitia’s expert team and broad offering while maintaining support from Rod Jager Consulting,” continued Avery, a one-time PwC senior consultant and former manager at later Mantel Group acquisition Aginic. “Our breadth of skills and experience, along with an aligned workplace culture has made this partnership a natural fit.”

Notitia – pronounced ‘no-tish-ah’ – works across industries, but includes the healthcare and public services sectors among its strong suits, with clients such as Monash IVF, Gippsland Health Alliance, Foodbank Victoria, Worksafe, and Netball Victoria featuring in its client roll-call. Rod Jager Consulting is meanwhile listed on the Tasmanian Government’s tech services multi-use list.

“This partnership brings together complementary strengths, while Notitia’s experience across various sectors and its practical, design-led approach align strongly with how we work with our clients,” commented Jager. “It also means that Tasmanian organisations can now access broader expertise while still working with a local partner who truly understands their context.”
