RSM appoints Peter Revelas and Ross Dixon as national practice leaders
Accounting and consulting firm RSM has made two national-level appointments, with Peter Revelas taking over as professional services leader and Ross Dixon promoted to head of manufacturing.
Based out of Sydney, Revelas has been with RSM for close to a decade and a half and takes over from Kian Ghahramani, while Dixon is based in Albury and succeeds Louis Quintal after having joined the firm from the UK branch of Deloitte in 2019.
“Together, these appointments to key roles in our national industry program reflect the strength and depth of expertise across our firm and ongoing commitment to sector-focused insights that help clients navigate change and seize opportunity,” the firm said.
A commerce degree-holder from the University of Sydney with a UNSW masters in taxation, Peter Revelas joined RSM in 2011 after almost a decade in accounting with local boutique Economos, before then being made a business advisory partner at the end of 2020. He takes over from office colleague Kian Ghahramani as national professional services leader after two years in the role.
Revelas provides business advisory, accounting and tax services to privately-owned businesses and high-net-worth individuals across a range of industries, including those in the professional services, technology, engineering, and healthcare sectors. His specialties include complex tax matters, compliance, business structuring, estate planning, and financial forecasting and reporting.
“Peter brings a deep understanding of the professional services sector to his new role, advising firms on succession planning, partner remuneration, governance structures, and strategies for long-term success,” the firm stated in a post to LinkedIn. “He is well-versed in the challenges facing the sector today, including as to generational transition and evolving client expectations.”
Ross Dixon, RSM’s new national manufacturing practice leader, joined the accounting and consulting firm in 2019 after kicking off his career with eight years in corporate tax advisory between the Manchester and Liverpool branches of Deloitte in the UK. He was promoted to the partnership in the middle of last year, and takes over former RSM South Africa CEO Louis Quintal.
Dixon has across his career advised large corporate groups, middle-market businesses, regional enterprises, and high net worth individuals on complex accounting, tax, structuring, investment, and compliance matters with a focus on growth and market expansion and experience in the engineering, shipping, real estate, and construction sectors alongside his expertise in manufacturing.
“Ross brings extensive experience working with manufacturers, technology businesses, and innovators, helping organisations commercialise new products, break into new markets, and build sustainable growth while staying close to the issues shaping the sector, from supply chain resilience to automation and the shift toward advanced manufacturing,” the firm said.
