James Brummer-Taylor joins L.E.K.’s Organisation & Performance arm
After eight years at Partners in Performance, James Brummer-Taylor has joined rival L.E.K. Australia.
Brummer-Taylor brings more than a decade of experience in management consulting and industry experience to the firm, having worked at both sides of the table – both as a consultant and a line manager.
At Partners in Performance, he was most recently a Principal, growing up the ranks from Associate level. Before that, he held commercial, strategy and merger & acquisition roles at Origin Energy, and advisory roles at New Zealand-based law firm Kensington Swan and Aclaro.
“James’ proven ability to rapidly execute strategies, transform businesses and sustainably improve performance make him a great addition to the firm for both our new and existing clients,” said Nick Holder, Head of L.E.K.’s Asia-Pacific region.
At L.E.K. Consulting, Brummer-Taylor has joined the firm’s Organisation & Performance practice. This unit supports clients with five main offerings – organisational strategy; performance improvement; commercial excellence; post-merger integration; and value activation.
In Australia, the Organisation & Performance practice is led by Melbourne-based partner Tim McGrath and Sydney-based Joseph Sponholz, who knows Brummer-Taylor from their shared time at Partners in Performance. Sponholz joined L.E.K. Consulting in February this year, and is a partner.
Commenting on his motivation to join L.E.K. Consulting, Brummer-Taylor said, “Part of the appeal was the firm’s ability to provide clients with that end-to-end service they need, from developing the strategy through to execution and delivery. L.E.K. is well positioned to advise its clients on the best way to do both from the ground up.”
Brummer-Taylor is based in Queenstown in New Zealand, where he lives, and works remotely and from L.E.K. Consulting’s office in Sydney.
