Nous elevates nine new members to senior leadership team
Nous Group has promoted nine of its professionals to the firm’s most senior position of principal, spread across Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra and Toronto.
The appointments sees the number of principals at Nous Group break through the barrier of 50, now at 55 in total. The Melbourne-headquartered international management consultancy has a roster of more than 400 consultants across 11 offices in Australia, the UK and Canada, led by Managing Principal and CEO Tim Orton.
Christie Allison
The leader of Nous’ leadership strategy, assessment and development business offer, Allison has been with Nous for over 17 years, arriving via an earlier career stint as a Fisheries technician with Queensland’s Department of Primary Industries. She is currently based in Sydney.
Tessa Dehring
Holding a Masters in Industrial and Organisational Psychology from Deakin University, Dehring has been with the consultancy for the most part since 2012, predominantly serving in its Organisational Performance & Leadership practice. Dehring is based out of Victoria.
Rachel Kemmis
Now halfway into her fifth year at Nous, Kemmis is also highly experienced in organisational development and performance. Currently based in Melbourne, her previous consultancy roles include stints with LTA People, Advanced Dynamics, Maximus, and in-house at AAPT.
Tom Levi
Stationed in Sydney, Levi has been with Nous for the past six years, following a similar length stint as at international aw firm Allens Linklaters. He has experience in deliver large-scale strategy and transformation projects across a range of sectors, including government, education, and defence.
Annette Madvig
Formerly an Australian diplomat and NGO-worker in the area of international policy development, Madvig currently co-leads Nous’ evaluation practice, and has been with the firm for almost six years. She boasts two decades worth of experience in complex policy design and management.
Peter Ellis
Ellis has been Nous’ Chief Data Scientist since the end of 2019, originally joining the firm a year prior. Ellis has previously performed a number of roles in the public sector space, with AusAID and several New Zealand government departments, as well as working as an independent consultant.
Will Prothero
A strategy and digital transformation specialist, Prothero has been promoted to Principal after two and a half years at the firm in Canberra. Previously, Prothero spent seven years with the Department of Agriculture and Water, and has advised the government on over $1 billion in ICT investments.
Geoff Sjollema
Canberra-based Sjollema has been with Nous for the past three and a half years, joining via the Australia National University as School Manager. Prior to that, Sjollema has held many senior positions in the sciences and humanities sphere, establishing and managing research centres.
Tim Kennedy
Further afield, the head of Nous’ Toronto office, Tim Kennedy, has also been promoted to principal, the firm’s most senior position. A music and later MBA graduate from the University of Melbourne, Kennedy also spent three years as a business analyst at the uni before joining Nous in 2017.
