Project management consulting firms TBH and Acorn team up
Australian project management consultancy Tracey Brunstrom & Hammond (TBH) has agreed a partnership with Acorn Project Advisory, a boutique Sydney-based counterpart.
Founded in 1965, Tracey Brunstrom & Hammond is an Australian-grown consulting firm that specialises in the delivery of high-risk, large-scale and challenging projects in sectors including infrastructure, space, energy, defence, transport, mining oil & gas and transport. The firm today has around 250 employees operating from five offices in Australia, and four in other parts of the world.
Acorn Project Advisory also specialises in project management services, with a focus on strategic advisory, programme management and control, and project solutions. The firm is much younger, founded at the start of this year by Jeremy Oakes, the former Australia Country Manager of British engineering consultancy Mace.
As newlywed partners, the two consultancies will work together on advisory and delivery engagements in the property and construction industries, which are Acorn Project Advisory’s main areas of expertise. “We are thrilled to work more closely with Jeremy and his team on delivering services to our valued clients,” said Rob Hammond, Managing Director at Tracey Brunstrom & Hammond.
In addition, Acorn Project Advisory will help Tracey Brunstrom & Hammond further enhance the knowhow and capabilities of its Strategic Advisory Services division. This arm helps clients with high-end advisory services such as business case development, property strategy, due diligence and project assurance.
Commenting on the partnership, Oakes said: “Tracey Brunstrom & Hammond has a well-earned reputation for delivering industry-leading solutions on complex and high-risk projects. Having worked with them since the late 1990’s on projects ranging from health to defence, I know the valuable insights and knowledge they can bring to each engagement.”
The news comes shortly after Tracey Brunstrom & Hammond appointed Paul Thornton as Director in its UAE operation.
