Deloitte promotes executives Dennis Krallis and Steve Jansz
Deloitte has made two executive appointments in Australia, with Dennis Krallis appointed to Chief Transformation Officer and Steve Jansz stepping into his shoes as Managing Partner of the Risk Advisory division.
Dennis Krallis led the Risk Advisory division since August 2017, and under his leadership the wing became one of the firm’s fastest growing businesses units. The 1,200-strong practice advises clients on all aspects of their risk, from strategic and reputation risk to financial, operational, regulatory, digital and cyber risk.
Prior to taking on the role, the Risk Advisory veteran served (he joined Deloitte in 1997 and was appointed a partner in 2003) as Managing Partner of the Sydney office, where he among others was responsible for driving greater partner collaboration across the Sydney region and encouraging integration of Deloitte’s services.
Now in the role of Chief Transformation Officer, Krallis will lead Deloitte’s transformation agenda, aimed at future-proofing its offerings and talent base, and ensuring that the firm’s internal operations meet the demands of clients and business stakeholders. He remains a member of the National Executive.
Succeeding Krallis as Managing Partner of the Risk Advisory division is Steve Jansz (effective 1 December), currently the Risk Advisory National Leader for Regulatory and Risk Insights. He has been with the professional services firm for fourteen years, having previously worked as a consultant at Telstra, BearingPoint and Arthur Andersen.
“I have known Steve for many years, and he has the right experience, depth of vision and leadership attributes to take the Risk Advisory team to the next stage of growth and market leadership,” said Adam Powick, the CEO of Deloitte Australia.
Jansz on the ambitions: “The risk agenda is a consistently high priority for business and government leaders. We will continue to invest heavily in digital innovation and strengthening the capability of our Risk Advisory team.”
Other members of Deloitte’s National Executive include Andrew Griffiths (Chief Operating Officer), Clare Harding (Chief Strategy Officer), Sneza Pelusi (Chief Risk Officer), Joanne Gorton (Managing Partner Audit and Assurance), Ellen Derrick (Managing Partner Consulting), David McCarthy (Managing Partner Financial Advisory), Brett Greig (Managing Partner Tax), Peter Forrester (Managing Partner Clients, Industries & Markets) and Paul Rehder (National Leader Clients).
