Ant Bagshaw joins L.E.K. Consulting's education practice
L.E.K. Consulting has bolstered its Education practice with Ant Bagshaw, who brings extensive experience in the sector to the global strategy consulting firm.
Appointed a Senior Advisor in the firm’s Australian outfit, Bagshaw will advise the firm’s public and private education clients in Australia and globally on policy design, regulation, innovation, and transformation.
Bagshaw has nearly 15 years of experience in the education sector, gained both in industry and in consulting. “His experience working with the world’s top universities, governments, and edtech providers enables him to serve our educations clients across Australia and beyond,” said Nick Holder, Asia Pacific managing partner at L.E.K. Consulting.
Prior to joining L.E.K. Consulting, Bagshaw was Partnerships Director at Online Education Services, and worked in strategic project delivery for universities including the London School of Economics and University College London. He also helped establish media start-up Wonkhe as the leading outlet for critical commentary on UK higher education.
In between, Bagshaw was a Principal Consultant at Nous Group, working for its Education practice across Australia, the United Kingdom and Canada.
Elaborating on his ambition at L.E.K. Consulting, Bagshaw said: “I am passionate about helping education providers to make the most of the growth opportunities available to them, domestically and in international markets, and leveraging the best digital capabilities to deliver great outcomes for students and through their research.”
Bagshaw also pointed at L.E.K. Consulting’s leading position in the education scene. In the recently released Top Education consulting firms in Australia ranking, L.E.K. Consulting was one of just four consultancies that landed a position in the highest band. The firm holds similar market-leading positions in other markets, including in the Americas, Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
According to Ashwin Assomull, Global Head of L.E.K. Consulting’s Education practice, the firm is currently engaged with universities and education organisations in the higher education value chain in Australia. The firm’s consultants are also working on strategic and management engagements for educational institutions, blue chip companies, investors, and governments around the world.
