AECOM promotes John Fanstone and Richard Morrison
Global engineering and advisory group AECOM has promoted John Fanstone and Richard Morrison to new leadership roles.
John Fanstone, based in Melbourne, has been appointed as Industry Director within the Rail division, while Richard Morrison, based in Sydney, has been appointed as Industry Director for Technology Advisory across Asia Pacific.

John Fanstone brings more than 25 years of experience to the role. A renowned major project specialist, Fanstone has led multi-disciplinary teams on projects including Melbourne’s Metro Tunnel, Preston Tram Depot, Regional Rail Link, Manchester Metro, East London Line, and Taiwan’s High-Speed Rail project.
Richard Morrison most recently led AECOM’s Information Communications Technology and Security consulting group for Australia and New Zealand. A computer systems engineer by background, Morrison now leads the firm’s complete technology and security advisory services team.
Alongside his position at AECOM, Morrison is also a Director of BICSI South Pacific, a global not-for-profit association supporting designers and installers of information systems across government and the real estate sectors.
AECOM delivers engineering. consulting and project management services across the construction and infrastructure lifecycle – from planning and design to program and construction management. The firm generated revenues of around US$13.3 billion in its latest fiscal year.
