Investructure welcomes Kay Salvair Smith as board advisor
Sydney-based projects consultancy Investructure has appointed former MinterEllison partner Kay Salvair Smith as Special Advisor to the Board.
Founded in 2020, Investructure specialises in helping public and private sector players as well as investors with developing and delivering infrastructure projects.
Since its inception, the boutique has grown to a team of around 10 staff, and worked on projects including Sydney Metro, the $3.2 billion extensions to the M4 and M8 motorways, and the second stage of the Western Harbour Tunnel.
As the firm seeks to enter the next stage of its growth, Investructure has brought on board a high-profile name in Sydney’s infrastructure scene: Kay Salvair Smith, a now retired MinterEllison partner with an extensive career as an advisor, strategist, developer and manager of large infrastructure assets and services, particularly in transport, telecommunications, social infrastructure and property.
“We are thrilled to have Kay acting as Special Advisor to our board,” said Struan Wilson, Founder and Managing Director of Investructure (he founded the firm following a career at Arup and TSA Management, among others).
“Kay brings invaluable experience, outstanding industry knowledge and professional acumen that will further support our clients, people and culture, and our business efficiency as we enter our next stage of growth.”
In her role, Salvair Smith will provide advice and guidance on the strategic direction of Investructure, working closely with the board and management team to support the firm’s growth. Her remit includes a focus on clients and markets, people and culture, and business efficiency.
“I am really looking forward to working with Investructure’s team to achieve its objectives and deliver on its purpose. This is a challenging period for infrastructure clients and it is inspiring that Investruture is already implementing actions focused on providing exceptional results for its clients and forming trusted partnerships,” she said.
Bringing together the words ‘Invest’ and ‘Infrastructure’, Investructure’s brand embodies the firm’s belief that developing and delivering infrastructure successfully requires a mix between solid investment principles and rigorous execution capacities, building on best practices in consulting and delivery.
