Duncan Munro appointed global Operational Excellence leader at dss+

Global operations management consultancy dss+ has promoted Australia-based Duncan Munro to global director of the firm’s Operational Excellence practice.

Based out of Melbourne, Duncan Munro has 25+ years of experience in business development, operations performance, value chain optimisation and cost management, gained both in consulting as well as in industry.

Munro joined dss+ as a Principal in February of this year from BWX, where he held the title of Group Operations Director. “I am very proud to step into this position, with operational excellence playing an increasingly powerful role in helping businesses running efficiently, meeting emission targets, changing cultural narratives and achieving long-term profitability.”

In his new role, Munro leads one of dss+’s largest areas of practice worldwide. Headquartered in Switzerland, and backed by a European private equity firm, dss+ has over 1,000 staff in more than 20 countries. Operations management is one of its three powerhouse offerings, alongside environment, health & safety, and sustainability.

Last year, dss+ was named one of Australia’s leading operations consulting firms.

Munro is the second member of the current Australia and New Zealand team to be promoted to the title of Global Director. Previously, Perth-based Scott Hastie was named Global Director of the Oil & Gas industry practice.
