Partners in Performance promotes senior trio in Australian team

Partners in Performance has made three senior level appointments in its Australian team.

Ben Thompson and Jane Algie have both been promoted to director level, the highest rank at Partners in Performance (comparable to senior partner at other consultancies). The pair now both also become part of the global leadership team.

Headquartered in Australia, Partners in Performance currently has over 500 consultants and staff operating from seven offices worldwide.

Ben Thompson, Jane Algie, Matthew O’Connor - Partners in Performance

Ben Thompson, who first joined the firm in 2019 as an Associate Principal (ex-BCG), brings over two decades of consulting experience to the role. He specialises in topics including mergers & acquisitions, growth, diversification, pricing, reorganisation, re-engineering and rationalisation, with his client experience spanning the private equity, healthcare, education, financial services, and manufacturing sectors.

Jane Algie, who joined Partners in Performance in 2017 as a Senior Associate, specialises in strategy, transformation, organisational excellence, and the delivery of complex change programmes. She has worked on projects across multiple sectors.

Internally within Partners in Performance, Algie spearheaded various initiatives, notably in areas such as women’s networks, diversity and inclusion, and talent development. 

Matthew O’Connor, who has been with the global management consultancy for close to a decade, has meanwhile been promoted to partner.

Operating out of Brisbane, O’Connor has extensive experience in energy transition, capital project development and delivery, organisation design, PMO delivery, and commercial sourcing. He has worked across multiple sectors, including oil & gas, energy, mining, transportation, consumer goods, , government, insurance, and construction.

Prior to joining Partners in Performance in 2014, O’Connor worked as a structural engineer at WSP where he was responsible for the design and delivery of projects in the mining, transport and power sectors.
