Deloitte settles into new Adelaide office in Festival Tower
Global professional services firm Deloitte has settled into its new office in Adelaide, citing sustainability, flexibility, and collaboration as a motivation.
Deloitte has made the move to its brand new Festival Tower space at the RiverBank, covering four floors toward the top of the 29-storey building, which holds the highest-level, world-class Green Star sustainability rating. Other corporate tenants include Westpac, Allianz, and engineering consultancy Mott MacDonald, with a second tower currently in the approvals stage.
In the planning since 2022, Deloitte has now taken up residence in the newly-built Festival Tower along Adelaide’s Riverbank precinct, reported at the time to consist of around 7,000 square metres across four floors.
“The energy this week has been incredible, seeing everyone come in, talk, work together and reconnect,” said South Australia managing partner Hendri Mentz following the move. “We’re settling in and enjoying our fantastic, flexible work-spaces and top-notch amenities with the latest tech. Everything has been designed to foster collaboration, well-being, and accessibility.”
Deloitte last year also relocated its offices in Sydney and Canberra, however the advisory landscape has changed dramatically since the firm signed its Festival Tower lease in late 2022. At the time, Deloitte said the move would support projections of a further 1,000 staff added to its local practice over five years, a three-fold increase, yet its overall nationwide headcount has since contracted.
However, despite a recent slowdown, South Australia is still generating plenty of buzz, rated for the first time by CommSec as the best-performing economy at the start of the year. Deloitte has been riding that wave from its early days, selecting Adelaide as the site of its first innovation and technology hub in 2021 and forming a strong partnership with the University of Adelaide.
