2025 new partner cohort lifts BDO’s partnership size to 300-plus

BDO has broken through the 300-partner milestone, following its latest round of partner promotions and hires.
Effective January 1, 2025, the accounting and consulting firm has admitted thirteen new members into its partnership from within its own ranks, across its service lines Advisory (5), Audit (3), Tax (3), and Business Services (2).
In Advisory, David Bohm, Dean Ardern, Karyn Lander, Mark Oliver and Vanessa Vaillant have been promoted to partner, with Allen Tongol, Cam Cengiz, Dries Martens, Eileen Tsai, George Ikonomou, Jamie Kaden, Jonathon Lee and Stamati Georgas the eight other members of the new partner cohort.
“This cohort demonstrates the excellent calibre of people coming up through our strong pipeline of talent,” said BDO chief executive partner Tony Schiffmann.
“Each of these individuals has consistently demonstrated outstanding performance, innovative thinking, and commitment to our values. Their leadership has not only inspired their teams but has also significantly contributed to our collective success,” he added.
Having last year cracked the $500 million revenue mark (by a distance), Schiffmann said he is proud of the firm’s continued growth and now 300-plus partner team.
“I am proud of the culture we have created at BDO – one where we are focused on developing our people and encouraging everyone to undertake their work with purpose, quality and pride. We are committed to continually developing and nurturing our future leaders, and seeing the talent exhibited across the firm makes it clear we have a strong future ahead.”
Meanwhile, Schiffmann unveiled that BDO has already signed five new partners for the months of January and February, including four ex-Big Four seniors. Sohail Dossa, Luke Eason and Peter Horsman will join the Risk Advisory practice, while Mark Harrington and Sam Pickard will strengthen the Project & Infrastructure Advisory and Business Services practices.
In Australia, BDO has over 300 partners and 2,400 people working from 12 offices. Its Advisory business was last year named among the nation’s leading consulting firms.
