Slalom upskills ANZ team members in Salesforce’s AI solution Agentforce

Global business and technology consulting firm Slalom has launched a major company-wide AI upskilling program for all its employees in Australia and New Zealand.
Unveiled last week, Slalom’s learning & development track program will see team members across its offices in Melbourne, Sydney and Auckland pursue Salesforce AI certifications.
The goal is to provide every colleague, including leaders and consultants, with the capabilities to help clients leverage advanced AI technology, driving improved customer satisfaction, cost efficiency, service scalability, and 24/7 support capabilities.
The focus of the program is on Agentforce, a key innovation of the Salesforce platform that helps companies rapidly build and deploy so-called ‘AI agents’ across any business function. AI agents are robots that are capable of autonomously performing tasks – and learning in the process.
For Slalom clients, Agentforce can unlock an array of benefits: from enhanced customer engagement and improved efficiency, to scalable, data-driven insights for long-term growth.
Michael Shimota, Slalom’s President for Asia Pacific and Japan, said: “At Slalom, we are dedicated to helping organisations across ANZ lead in the AI revolution by transforming their customer experiences with Agentforce. Since launching Slalom in Australia in 2020, we’ve focused on building a culture of innovation, which is reflected in our work with Agentforce and AI solutions.”
The partnership builds on a long-standing global relationship between Slalom and Salesforce. The US-headquartered consulting firm is one of Salesforce’s top partners worldwide, and as a founding member of Salesforce’s AI partner advisory board, Slalom is well positioned to design and build AI-driven solutions on the platform.
Welcoming the upskilling program, Rowena Westphalen, an Australia-based Senior Vice President at Salesforce, said: “Agentforce represents a monumental shift in the industry, enabling humans with AI to redefine how businesses achieve customer success. Our partners [such as Slalom] play a crucial role in helping our customers realise the transformative power of AI agents, by providing a vast catalogue of trusted and ready-to-deploy partner agents and agent actions.”
Globally, Slalom has around 12,000 staff working from offices in 11 countries.
