Rennie has brought Lynda Osborne on board as an Executive Director, naming her the Lead of its Business Advisory team in Melbourne and of the Digital, Technology & Data Advisory service offering nationally.

Welcoming Lynda Osborne to the firm, Rennie chief executive Simone Rennie said: “We are very pleased to welcome Lynda, as part of our executive leadership team and as a leader in our growing Melbourne office.”

“Rennie has been a leading capital, strategy and growth adviser in the energy ecosystem over the last three years, and is already well known for its depth in both business and operating models in this space. Linda’s strong focus on energy sector business, technology and data strategy, technology and data investment planning, along with the development and execution of technology enabled transformation programs, will both broaden and deepen our offering.”

Osborne joins Rennie from her recent role as Client Lead Asia Pacific for Kraken Technologies (owned by Octopus Energy), a provider of customer technology platforms for the energy sector.

During her 20+ year career in professional services, Osborne held leadership roles in the Technology Advisory practices at both PwC and Deloitte, before shifting to industry to deepen her operational reach.

Osborne will now lead business and technology enabled transformation programs at Rennie’s clients, with a primary focus on energy, water and gas sector clients in the Victorian market.

“I am delighted to be joining the leadership team of Rennie and in particular to be driving our growth and ambitions,” Osborne said. “Our company vision is to become a leading advisory firm by 2027 in the Australian market across the various service lines of Rennie, and I am looking forward to growing our Business Advisory Technology offerings nationally and in my home market in Victoria over the next 12-18 months.”

Rennie CEO noted that her arrival full cements the firm’s status as a leading adviser within the distributed energy ecosystem, given Osborne’s experience in customer / distributed energy resources technology integration and implementation of data and initiatives.

Areas of investment

Energy transition is one of three key areas of investment within Rennie, which has been a powerhouse of growth in an otherwise challenged consulting market in Australia, along with decarbonisation & climate, and the evolution of society. Since its founding in 2021, the private equity-backed consulting firm has grown to almost 80 people across its four national offices.
